"JOS" stands for jobstudentensysteem (student workers’ system), an innovative project of the services for student facilities of the colleges of higher education and universities in Brussels and Flanders, in collaboration with the VDAB (Flemish service for employment-finding).
Within our sector, everyone had been dealing with offering student jobs in some sort of way, whether or not within a regional cooperation. With the name “student jobs” they referred most of the time to jobs for students at the place they studied, but not to jobs at the place they lived. On the other hand it sometimes happened that double work had been performed, because the same companies would pass on the same vacancies to different services. Out of this concern JOS was born: because most services for student facilities active in higher education take part in this system, it becomes very easy for the increasing group of student workers, like you, to search for jobs on the web, regardless of the region where you live or study.
With JOS you - as one of the 120.000 students - get access to vacancies inserted by all participating institutions, companies and the VDAB. Check it out by clicking on "Find a job".

JOS wishes you good luck!
