Business Development Manager Solar

As a Business Development Manager Solar, you will initiate and develop new solar PV projects in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels to feed the portfolio of green energy projects of Eoly.You will be supported by the Business Development Team of Eoly and by our Project Management Team for technical expertise.

Your target clients will be business clients who want to secure long term green energy supply for their activities via Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's) or any alternative revenue scheme available.

Your activities will include:

  • Making a concrete plan of actions to execute the business development strategy of Eoly Energy with regards to solar PV in Belgium
  • Creating and/or expanding a list of potential contacts with target companies, relying on leads of Virya Energy Group or your own prospects/network
  • Initiating new solar PV projects based on a good lead or prospect (including private and public tenders for solar PV)
  • Establishing a good business plan both for Eoly as for the client targeting a win-win relationship
  • Secure the necessary land-use contracts with the clients to install PV panels either on rooftops or ground-mounted
  • Identify and build partnerships with different stakeholders allowing to gain visibility and accelerate the origination of new leads (EPC company, Engineering firms, etc.)
  • Developing solar PV projects until the Ready To Build phase, including the necessary steps to get the authorisations to build
  • Participating to regular internal meetings with the business development team, the Project management Team as the Public Affairs/Regulatory Manager
  • Being the single point of contact with local and regional stakeholders for solar PV projects of your portfolio
  • Making concrete proposals out of ideas coming from your team members on subjects like hybrid wind/solar installations, storage opportunities, etc.
  • Reporting directly to the Business Development Team leader.

As IT Project Manager (ITPM) you will work within the TSP department, which stands for Trains, Stations & Planning.

You will be designated to the Business Area Stations, which is the IT partner of the NMBS-SNCB Directorate B-Stations.This Business Area implements and maintains the tools to manage NMBS- SNCB Real Estate portfolio such as the Stations, concessions, parking’s, lands and buildings.This from the early study phase of a new tools, over their implementation to enhancements on existing applications.

In your role as ITPM you will have a strong focus on the BUILD activities, next to that you:

  • Will act as the primary contact point towards the Business Product Manager.
  • Have the end-2-end accountability for the IT-side of the assigned projects/applications/components.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of people to identify and define business needs, understand the solution context and develop the vision, roadmap and features required to meet these needs.
  • Steer the projects in your portfolio, manage/structure the project backlog, coordinate delivery and sprints scope, review and possibly co-write user stories.
  • Lead the scrum team in agile mode.
  • Have full cost ownership of the assigned project/application portfolio.
  • Report on regular basis on status, proceedings of the project on several levels, including Steerco.
