You take end-to-end responsibility for managing existing applications and implementing new solutions in a specific business area to optimize performance, stability, consistency, lifecycle and usability of the assigned application portfolio.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure that the application serves its intended purpose and delivers value to the business.The role of an application owner is to guide the software development lifecycle to performance gains that align with the business vision
  • The application must meet the standards deemed acceptable by all stakeholders, customers, and partners.The application owner guide the development teams to find an optimal trade-off between: Functionality; Performance; Dependability; Cost; User satisfaction
  • Provide appropriate operational, management and technical controls that help mitigate and manage security risks facing software apps, network infrastructure, end users, and the business
  • Follow the service level agreement (SLA) metrics to ensure there is a timely response/resolution to incidents related to the application
  • Support the business by prioritizing product backlog and helping deliver business outcomes
  • Identify areas of improvement and develop a long-term quality improvement program that encompasses the technology and business aspects of the software application

Main activities

  • Advise the client on the improvement, optimization and innovation of business processes, information flows and applications
  • Support the customer in validating and prioritizing their needs and resolves possible bottlenecks proposing alternative solutions
  • Convert validated and prioritized needs/issues into standard features or functional specifications for a custom solution into a business analysis document
  • Check consistency with existing enterprise and solution architecture and seeks advice from enterprise, system and solution architects
  • Report on the progress of analyses, processes and the proposed solution and ensures the formal validation of this solution in terms of architecture and functionality
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business process owners and IT staff regarding the application
  • Translate the functional analysis into a configuration, taking into account the specific requirements of the module(s) used
  • Prepare technical documentation and related configuration documentation
  • Provide training materials
  • Develop test scenarios

Tasks • Position may be responsible for operational controlling activities and/or Industrial costing and or operating/capital expenses • Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across GBUs, to provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders • Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing and share monthly results with Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners • Prepare monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and/or budget and forecasts • Ensure business owners are executing the budgeted plan, including tracking actuals, approval of projects & providing direction to business owners • Develop Opex and headcount forecasts for designated areas, in partnership with FBPs and Budget Owners • Oversee and ensure opening and closing of projects as well as the timely capitalization beside compliance with Sanofi methods and procedure regarding Asset Management • Ensure Standard Cost are calculated and manufacturing performance monitored • Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of these forecasts • Track headcount on a monthly basis and compare to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates, including trend analysis for key drivers of change • Track all assumptions built into budget and forecasts • Approve project spend and ensuring projects are budgeted properly, challenging where necessary  • Continuously challenge legacy ways of working, status quo; identify gaps, and recommend new ways of working • Increase Financial and business acumen • Ensure compliance with pertinent SOX controls  • Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements   • Promote efficiencies and improved ways of working across designated region and ensure best practice sharing  • Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure compliance   • Support all key Finance initiatives     • Ad hoc projects and analyses as required

Jouw Rol

Als Business Process Officer vervul je een tweeledige taak die zowel gericht is op korte termijn doelen als op de langetermijnstrategie van Vervaeke Group.

Op korte termijn help je enerzijds mee aan de implementatie van een nieuw ERP en TMS-pakket.

  • Verwerf inzicht in de diverse structuren van onze organisatie & het nieuwe ERP-(MSD365) en TMS-systeem.
  • Identificeer en begrijp de noden van eindgebruikers en vertaal deze naar systeemvereisten.
  • Sta in voor het rechtenbeheer en asset management.
  • Werk actief mee aan datamigratie en initiële inrichting van softwarepakketten en naderhand het onderhoud van deze pakketten.
  • Voorzie opleidingen en handleidingen voor eindgebruikers.
  • Fungeer als product owner en begeleid eindgebruikers na de implementatie van softwarepakketten.

Anderzijds treed je op als een echte business partner , waarbij je tools en informatie aanreikt voor verdere analyses.

  • Werk mee aan de opbouw van nieuwe rapporteringseisen.
  • Bouw mee aan de opzet en uitrol van BI reporting en nacalculatiemodel.
  • Denk actief mee met de business en werk mee aan optimalisatieprojecten.
  • Voer ad hoc rapportages en analyses uit voor het management.

Gewenste ervaring en vaardigheden

  • Masterdiploma met eerste werkervaring (bv.TEW, Handelsingenieur, …).
  • Analytische geest en probleemoplossend vermogen.
  • Evenwicht tussen helicopter-view en oog voor detail.
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en assertiviteit.
  • Vermogen om collega’s te overtuigen en vertrouwen te winnen.
  • Georganiseerd en nauwkeurig werken.
  • Uitstekende kennis van MS-Office (vooral Excel), kennis Powerplatform is een plus.
  • Snel vertrouwd met softwarepakketten en digitalisatie van processen.
  • Bereidheid om af en toe in buurlanden te overnachten.
  • Vlotte beheersing van Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
