You will be joining Virya Energy's Public Affairs & Sustainability team and will be involved mostly at corporate level, although ad hoc you may be involved at project level.Your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Support the development and implementation of Virya Energy's corporate Sustainability strategy;
  • Lead and coordinate strategic sustainability assessments such as the double materiality assessments, EU Taxonomy assessment, carbon modelling exercise, etc.
  • Identify, monitor and inform on regulatory developments related to sustainability (such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDD, etc.);
  • Develop, prepare and coordinate compliant sustainability reporting in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards;
  • Monitor the evolution of reporting standards internationally, at EU and national levels and contribute to sustainability reporting;
  • Cooperate closely with Virya Energy's subsidiaries and relevant departments (HSSE, HR, finance, Public Affairs,…) and provide input towards the development and implementation of environmental and social management systems and tools;
  • Oversee measurement processes across the supply chain (life cycle and criticality assessments) and develop and implement KPI's – monitor and report on sustainability performance;
  • Develop and implement environmental and social due diligence processes in line with internationally recognized frameworks such as the United Nations Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines;
  • Develop and deliver sustainability briefings and trainings to educate stakeholders and employees on sustainable management practices;
  • Participate in sustainability working groups of industry associations.

Business Partnering

  • Key member of the Management team of the Business Unit and the Divisional Finance Management Team;

  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual performance to forecast, budget and prior year;
  • Maintain, report and benchmark Key Performance Indicators (financial, operations, logistics);
  • Coordinate inventory valuation and ensure a common approach to product standard costing.

Financial Planning (long range plan, budgeting, forecasting & outlook)

  • Drive the long range plan to further improve company ROIC;

  • Prepare the monthly rolling forecast and outlook at business unit level; identify outliers, create remediation plans if required and ensure a timely execution thereof.Maintain and improve forecast accuracy;
