Senior IT Project Manager

Within AXA Belgium, the P&C IT department is responsible for the day-to-day management, security, and technical and functional evolution of P&C insurance applications (Fire, Motor, Miscellaneous Risks) for our customers, brokers, partners or employees.

As Project Manager, you will play an essential role in managing and coordinating various projects, impacting different IT teams.

You will be entrusted with the following duties:

  • You will actively structure and organise projects that are linked to the organisation's IT applications.
  • You will scope the project with the main stakeholders involved, identify the solutions to be provided, define an implementation plan as well as the resources/budgets required, while maintaining a high-level view.
  • You will coordinate, organise and monitor the various activities within the project in line with the priorities and skills of each individual as well as the needs of the client.
  • You will advise and support the project team in order to put together a high-performance project team.
  • You will be responsible for managing several IT projects (small and medium-sized) at the same time.
  • You will keep an overview of the project, reporting and communicating progress to the various stakeholders
  • You will draw up regular reports on project progress, problems encountered, decisions taken and actions to be taken.You will maintain complete, up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You have between 5 and 10 years' experience in IT Project Management
  • You have experience in insurance
  • You are a born communicator
  • You have an analytical mind and can effectively manage priorities
  • You are team and result-oriented
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, etc.) would be appreciated
  • You have an excellent command of French and/or Dutch and English, with a good understanding of the second national language

Mapping and analyzing problems:

  • Perform preliminary study and analysis of the problem by surveying and interviewing the internal customer
  • Study and analyze the various processes within the project/product
  • Designing processes and validating working methods
  • Working out detailed technical specifications and carrying out feasibility studies in this respect

Developing and proposing a project design

  • Planning and organising the implementation of all steps within the predefined project
  • Identifying problems and obstacles
  • Formulating proposals to solve the problems

Determining the project planning and approach:

  • Distributing tasks among the various project staff members
  • Teaching all project staff the correct working methods and coaching them in performing their tasks

Realising project/product goals, implementing the result and taking care of follow-up:

  • Monitoring and supervising the roll-out of the project
  • Critically evaluate the result and take corrective actions if necessary

In charge of project management:

  • Monitor the quality of project parameters
  • Report regularly to management and the project team on the status and progress of the project
  • Intervene in critical situations
  • Participate in the correct delivery of the project
  • Maintaining an overview of all product specifications and working methods

The Manufacturing engineer: Quality Improvements we are looking for acts as an internal focal point for quality issues (internal RDR's and customer NC's) on composite parts;

  • Lead of structured problem solving to eliminate these quality issues;

  • Min.3 years of experience in production, engineering, manufacturing engineering

  • Problem solving expert in low volume (composite) manufacturing

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Quality and result oriented with attention to detail

  • Experience with composites and composite manufacturing is a big plus

  • Experience in Aviation and Aerospace or Automotive is a plus

  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP is a plus

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Experience with CAD software, preferrable Catia and Autocad is a plus
