Key areas of responsibilities and accountability

  • Prospecting and determining clients' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising product packaging changes.
  • Actively recommends and helps in obtaining necessary certifications
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales and marketing.
  • Completes market operational requirements by scheduling technical trainings of employees and third party salespeople of new products; following up on work results.
  • Maintains product management results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising sales results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Prospects, initiates and follows up new sales projects in the market in a progressive, consistent and structural way.

Key Accountabilities

Applied RD

* You will define & Accelerate the implementation of Puratos improvers & grains solutions by mastering the customer's processes

* You will initiate, develop and maintain relationships and/or partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, industrial equipment manufacturers, upstream research team, universities, research centers,…

* You will screen, select and implement new processing technologies

* You ensure knowledge building and documentation of technical & scientific know-how in the field

* You will train, transfer knowledge and competences and facilitate the exchange between all relevant stakeholders

Quality & Operations

* You will lead the new product handover to Operations

* You are responsible for material creation, from R&D step to introduction in production

* You ensure compliance of documentation in line with BRC certification for the Business Unit

* You collaborate with Operations for challenges and opportunities (including production, supply chain, quality and purchasing) and give support by sharing expertise

* You are responsible within the business unit of new/alternative raw materials validation in collaboration with purchase department.

Support to countries and business development

* You will create and develop together with the Product Manager the strategy of the category in order to grow the business profitability

* You will optimize the product range on performance and cost-in-use

* You will support the implementation of strategic, international and local innovation and renovation projects

* You will train the local business development and R&D teams on products and technologies during seminars & trainings.

* You will be an active member of the business development team by strongly supporting customer visits and understanding customer needs, travelling up to 20% of your time

* You will follow-up the designated Countries/Large Accounts by ensuring technical support, reviewing the country strategy/account plan, following the main projects (new business opportunities & business at risk) and visiting them
