Your Key Responsibilities as a Brand Development Manager:
Brand Management
  • Assumes ownership of key brand segment annual P&L targets, consistently identifying opportunities to deliver against the aligned upon target.Completes monthly consumption reports for assigned segment(s) identifying key threats and opportunities.
  • Identifies and drives brand or category initiatives that clearly link to a brand's short- and long-term strategies
Portfolio Optimization & Innovation
  • Leads multiple innovation initiatives, within their key segment, stemming from a brand or category's innovation strategy, including printer, consumables or software development
  • Creates global launch plan for innovation projects, inclusive of omni-channel communication strategy, vehicles and priorities, as well as robust selling stories to be used by Sales and Sales Planning.Estimates incremental sales, program cost and marketing ROI for key initiatives in a marketing plan and evaluates post execution.
  • Develops optimal product assortment based on market trends and gaps in the portfolio.
  • Supports portfolio management process by identifying Product Lines and SKUs to deprioritize/exit based on performance, margin, and as new innovation comes to market.
Other
  • Contributes to the overall development of category strategy through targeted POS analysis and consumer research.
  • Upholds all brand standards and executes all brand communications within guidelines set by visual brand language, brand positioning and a brand's communication strategy
  • Evaluates and creates communication materials in alignment with the brand identity and makes recommendations
  • Estimates funding needed and provides input for annual brand plan and A&P budget
  • Understands the performance trends for the brand, the category, the competition and the customer.
  • Conducts robust situation assessments for the brand, including identifying brand's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks relative to the competition
  • Gives input to the Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) team on the learning objectives and action standards for insight projects.
