Chef Specialised in Indian and Nepalese Cuisine

We are a small restaurant looking for an experienced chef with strong knowledge of authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The ideal candidate can prepare traditional dishes, manage daily kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare authentic Indian and Nepalese dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, momo, chow mein, thali, biryani, naan, and traditional sauces/spices.

• Create and follow recipes while keeping consistent taste and quality.

• Prepare ingredients, marinades, spice mixes, and mise en place before service.

• Manage kitchen stock, food storage, and ordering needs.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.

• Work efficiently during busy service hours.

• Support menu development and suggest new dishes when needed.

Requirements:

• Experience as a chef or cook in Indian, Nepalese cuisine.

• Good knowledge of spices, traditional cooking techniques, and food preparation.

• Ability to work independently in a small restaurant kitchen.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene rules.

• Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
