About this vacancy
As a Senior Data Architect, you are responsible for designing and shaping modern enterprise data platforms that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You define data architecture strategies, establish best practices, and lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems, with a strong focus on Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
Your responsibilities include:- Designing and implementing enterprise-wide data architectures on Azure and Databricks.
- Defining data platform roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance frameworks.
- Leading the design of modern data lakehouse architectures using Databricks.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, BI teams, and senior leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Defining data modeling strategies for analytical and operational use cases.
- Ensuring data quality, security, compliance, and governance across the data landscape.
- Providing architectural guidance and technical leadership to delivery teams.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to the data platform ecosystem.
- Documenting architecture decisions, technical standards, and best practices.
Profiel
What we expect from you
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, or in a similar data-focused role.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Data Workflows, and Lakehouse Architecture.
- Extensive experience with data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, and modern cloud-native architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, Spark, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Understanding of data governance, security, master data management, and data quality principles.
- Experience leading technical discussions and influencing architecture decisions at enterprise level.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
