Our client is an international company with various fields of expertise in the medical and pharmaceutical sector. You will work within a specific division of the company, dedicated to a field of expertise.
Jobomschrijving
As a GL Accountant, you will work both autonomously and in support of the Chief Accountant in carrying out various tasks within statutory accounting and ensuring compliance with tax obligations:
- Daily accounting entries in AP, AR and GL
- Ensuring accuracy of all data
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Monthly and yearly closings
- Preparation and analysis of cash flow
- Preparation of the financial statements (BE GAAP)
- Financial reporting to group
- VAT-declaration and statutory reporting NBB / Intrastat
- Assisting with external audits and internal controls
- Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives
- Acting as a point of contact within the finance team
Profiel
The succesful candidate ideally matches the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP
- Experience in a small or medium-sized international structure is a strong asset
- Solid hands-on accounting expertise with an end-to-end view
- Fluent in English
- Good command of French (invoices and local documentation)
- Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- Autonomous, reliable and detail-oriented
- Comfortable in a small team with broad responsibilities
- Hands-on mindset with a pragmatic and flexible attitude
