For one of our clients, a leading Belgian HR services provider, we are looking for a Functional Analyst to join an ongoing project related to the renewal of its payroll environment.
The project focuses on generating documents and other output based on events delivered by an external payroll engine. Examples include payslips, employee payment information, salary balances and Excel-based output.
Development is handled internally. As Functional Analyst, your main responsibility will be to gather and clarify requirements and translate them into clear, technically workable specifications for the development team.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, product management and a team currently consisting of two developers and another analyst. Internal analytical expertise is available to support you where needed.

Your responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and clarify requirements with internal stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional and technical specifications.
• Analyse how incoming payroll events need to be translated into documents and other forms of output.
• Work closely with the internal development team throughout implementation.
• Act as the bridge between internal users, product management and technical teams.
• Contribute to pragmatic and, where appropriate, creative solutions.
• Support the team in ensuring that the delivered solutions meet the agreed requirements.

Languages:

• The working language of the team is French, so you need to be able to communicate effectively in French, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Dutch is a strong advantage. A Dutch-speaking candidate can also be considered, provided they are sufficiently fluent in French to work comfortably within the team.
