Ready to take ownership of accounting operations and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic IT Services & Consulting environment in Leuven? Join as a GL Accountant and make a direct impact on financial performance and transformation projects.
Your responsibilities as GL Accountant :
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for Belgian and Luxembourg operations.
- Ensure accurate reporting under Local GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage accruals, provisions, depreciations, deferrals, and other closing entries.
- Analyze financial fluctuations and explain variances versus previous periods.
- Coordinate and support the offshore Accounts Payable and accounting support teams.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and accounting documentation.
- Support internal and external audits and contribute to the preparation of annual accounts.
- Oversee VAT declarations and corporate tax accrual processes with external partners.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management.
- Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and accounting best practices.
- Support accounting alignment and system optimization initiatives during business transformation.
Profiel
About You :
- You hold an Accounting degree and have at least 5 years of experience as a GL Accountant.
- You are comfortable acting as a trusted finance partner for colleagues and stakeholders.
- You take ownership, embrace change, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
- You have a solid understanding of payroll-related cost structures.
- You communicate effectively and build strong relationships across teams.
- You have experience with IFRS and corporate income tax.
- You have knowledge of SAP/S4HANA, which is considered an advantage.
- You are accurate, resilient under pressure, and highly organized.
- You are a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
- You speak Dutch and English fluently; French is a plus.
- You enjoy working in a social, energetic, and positive environment.
