Are you a Finance professional with experience in Belgian accounting and a strong interest in an international environment? Do you speak Mandarin and English and enjoy acting as the link between different finance teams? You will join a dynamic international industrial group with activities across different markets and a strong presence in both Europe and Asia. Despite its international scale, the organisation maintains short communication lines and a personal, family-oriented approach. You will become an important link between the finance team in the Waregem region and the finance team in China, giving you a unique opportunity to work across cultures and finance environments.

You will work closely with colleagues in Belgium and China and play an important role in ensuring smooth communication between both finance teams.

Your responsibilities as Finance Officer:

• You follow up on purchase and sales invoices, payments and outstanding items and ensure that the Belgian finance administration is processed accurately and on time. This gives you a hands-on role with direct ownership of important accounting processes.
• You perform and monitor bank bookings and financial transactions, while keeping the accounting records accurate and up to date. You will further strengthen your practical accounting expertise within an international environment.
• You act as the financial point of contact between the Belgian site and the finance team in China, translating questions, clarifying processes and ensuring that information flows smoothly between both locations. This gives you broad international exposure and allows you to build a strong network across two finance organisations.
• You support and coach finance colleagues in China on Belgian accounting principles, processes and reporting requirements. You can use your own experience to help colleagues develop while simultaneously strengthening your communication and coordination skills.
• You will occasionally travel to China to strengthen collaboration with the local finance team and support the alignment of processes. This offers you valuable international experience and the opportunity to work directly with colleagues on-site.

Profile requirements as Finance Officer:

• You have practical experience within Belgian accounting and are familiar with BE GAAP.
• You speak Mandarin Chinese and English fluently, allowing you to communicate effectively with both the Belgian and Chinese finance teams.
• Knowledge of Dutch is a nice-to-have.
• You are comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
• You have a coordinating and communicative personality and enjoy acting as a bridge between different teams.
• You are willing to travel to China occasionally as part of your role.
