Functieomschrijving
For an international manufacturing company in the Aalst region, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to help ensure the optimal operation of an advanced machine park.
You will work in a two-shift system:
- Early shift: 06:00–14:00
- Late shift: 14:00–22:00
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving industrial machinery and technical installations. Thanks to your expertise, production processes remain reliable and downtime is kept to a minimum.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Carrying out preventive maintenance on production machines, injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
- Carrying out corrective repairs in the event of technical breakdowns.
- Analysing faults and looking for sustainable solutions.
- Independently carrying out small technical projects and improvements.
- Actively contributing to optimizations aimed at increasing the reliability and efficiency of the machine park.
- Working closely with the production department to minimize downtime.
- Working according to applicable safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organized working environment.
Profiel
You have a strong technical background and enjoy working hands-on.
In addition, you have:
- A technical qualification in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance in a production environment.
- Basic knowledge of PLC control systems is an advantage. If you have limited experience in this area, you will have the opportunity to develop this knowledge internally.
- Experience with injection moulding machines is an advantage, but is not required.
- A good command of Dutch.
- The ability to understand technical documentation in English and/or German.
- Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach.
- A hands-on mentality and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good team spirit combined with the ability to carry out interventions independently.
