To support continued growth, Our client are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities, supplier strategy, and quality oversight across multiple European operations while managing a purchasing and quality team.
Jobomschrijving
As a Strategic Purchasing Manager your responsibilities are:
- Lead and develop the European purchasing function
- Manage and coach purchasing and quality teams
- Define and execute sourcing and supplier strategies
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and framework agreements
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and procurement performance
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs
- Ensure material availability and inventory optimisation
- Partner closely with production, sales, logistics and quality teams
Profiel
A successful Strategic Purchasing Manager should have:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in procurement within an industrial environment
- Proven people management experience
- Strong strategic sourcing and supplier management expertise
- Experience negotiating contracts and driving savings initiatives
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Fluent in English, Dutch and French
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Results-driven, organised and resilient mindset
