To support the different subpackages an enthusiastic engineer who is willing to assist with a wide range of activities linked to the construction and installation of a new electrical hub.
Our client is looking for strengthening the team by someone who is eager to assist with small engineering studies, administrative support and inspiring internal and external stakeholders about the progress and different construction steps.

Service expectations:

The Project Engineer:

  • Reports to the Engineer Lead and Package Manager.
  • Works in a multidisciplinary team together with, amongst others, the package manager, lead engineers and engineers, experts, procurements officers, HSE experts, PMO officer, …
  • Supports the development of the PEI project during all phases of the island package like finalizing design, construction, and installation.
  • As project engineer you will assist the Engineer Lead and Package Manager with following tasks:
    • Support or lead small engineering studies related to the hub (e.g.wave impact on smaller structural elements attached to the caissons, environmental studies for the implementation of Nature Inclusive Design elements)
    • Administrative support
      • Bouwpas (access tool for the construction site) Follow up for personnel.
      • Prepare documentation to report project management and technical conclusions.
      • Organize team events to share knowledge within the team and improve team cohesion.
    • Leading monthly construction tours for internal and external stakeholders
      • Familiarisation with the construction and installation method and understanding of the specific progress for the different construction steps.
      • Inform and explain methodologies and progress in a clear way to different visitors.
    • Coordinate between the third parties, lead engineers and other packages so that the required inputs are delivered in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and report on the input required from the Employer to the third parties and vice versa.

Hard skills & soft skills:

  • Highly motivated to be part of an exciting offshore wind project and passionate to contribute to the offshore wind expansion and energy transition by helping to construct a first multipurpose energy island.
  • No relevant working experience required only the eagerness to be part of the team and project realisation.
  • Education: Engineering (Master).
  • Working structured, independent and a problem-solving mindset
  • A quick learner.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills (used to work in a team and being successful as a team).
  • Must have an open and transparent way of communication.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.

Languages:

Fluent in English
French or Dutch is a plus

Duration of the project:

Starting immediately

Working hours & workplace:

  • Full time
  • 5 days a week travelling between project office in Ostend, construction site in Flushing and Brussel's office with possibility for occasional homework.
  • Possible short business trips or offshore trips

Junior New Business Developer (NBD) for small & medium FMCG Businesses is a key role in NIQ's growth strategy.Focused on accelerating organic growth, the NBDM generates short-cycle revenue opportunities by contacting leads & prospects, growing business within the own client portfolio and contribute in the longer-cycle revenue processes to win the key prospects not working with NIQ for their insights based on trended sales data.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Junior New Business Developer, you will:
  • Own, meet and ‘smash' the individual revenue target (Forecast and report out of targets and budgets).
  • Target new clients via different channels and grow the business within the existing client portfolio assigned with our core retail measurement service, prioritize client visits based on sales potential and build a sustainable external network.
  • Identify upselling opportunities by creating leads for international retail measurement data and the more advanced / customized NIQ services enabling to transform ad-hoc relationships into continuous partnerships.
  • Execute end-to-end sales process from feasibility analysis; including and pricing, negotiating terms, writing proposals, and closing the sale.
  • Monitor progress against revenue target with tenacity and course correct quickly where necessary by making maximum use of the available CRM tools
  • Utilize with creativity the tools available within the wider organization to generate leads and build your internal network
  • Develop pragmatic engagement plans for the key prospects & clients in your portfolio
  • Ensure that all sales materials, including proposals, software- & service demos are consistent and demonstrate best in class within the industry.
  • Initiate & Drive projects to bring new product /market combination successfully to the market
  • Work with other NIQ departments to ensure alignment and buy-in.
